About The Role

The role involves supporting current projects in the production of 3D models in both AutoCAD and AutoCAD Plant. The candidate must have previous experience of creating drawings using 3D models and preferably also using Ortho Generation using AutoCAD Plant 3D or Revit.

Key responsibilities

  • Capable of working to procedures – both client and Vital Energi.
  • Ensure that drawings are produced quickly and accurately in a consistent format with the minimum of supervision.
  • High competency using AutoCAD 3D or Revit format.
  • Capable of fitting into a department that is dynamic, that has high expectations of meeting targets.
  • Ability to attend site when required to take down survey data and transform into CAD drawings.
  • Interpret mark-ups by project personnel and produce clear drawings.
  • Producing P&IDs, civil briefing drawings, piping GAs, plant layouts, in a 2D format using 3D packages.
  • Have previously used AutoCAD Plant is preferable. Training will be provided where AutoCAD Plant has not been used.
  • Follow and apply quality assurance standards.
  • Checking drawings and models.

What you will need

  • Experience in a similar role is essential
  • Experience within a design consultancy is preferable but not essential
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (from version 2011)
  • A recognised qualification in engineering such as ONC or HNC or equivalent is expected.
  • A computer literate background is essential.
