Would you like to be part of Vital Energi's Strategy of Growth? If so, we are looking for a BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our specialist team where they will take direct responsibility for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a number of Vital Energi's plantrooms, solar farms, and boiler rooms. This role will involve travelling and working away from home, so please only apply if you are willing to travel/work away - Travel is UK wide.

We are supporting Hospitals, Universities, New Build developments, Towns and Cities as well as Industrial and Commercial clients to decarbonise their buildings. We have and continue to work on ground-breaking projects throughout the UK which are supporting the UK's Net Zero targets, such as the recently announced £1 billion low-carbon infrastructure project for Westminster.

The Role:

  • Develop detailed commissioning plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • PLC Programming
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve commissioning issues, escalating where necessary.
  • Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients throughout the commissioning process.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies at all times.
  • Traveling to and from different sites
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the commissioning department.
  • Plan, manage, and carry out commissioning activities across solar farms, energy centres, and boiler houses.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.
  • Proven experience in commissioning within the energy, utilities, or renewables sectors.
  • Strong understanding of control systems, instrumentation, and electrical safety.
  • Knowledge of/experience with Renewable Energy technologies such as Heat Pumps and Solar will be highly advantageous.
  • Full UK manual driving licence.
