Due to our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team based in our Glasgow office. As part of the Engineering Design team you will be involved in producing a broad range of conceptual to fully detailed designs covering things such as District and Communal Heating Systems, Energy Centres, Tri-generation Solutions and Heat Pumps.
Due to the nature of the role you will be involved in projects at a variety of stages and locations utilising a range of technologies requiring initial conceptual work, site investigations, surveys, client meetings, project submissions and presentations.
- Supporting the design of distributed energy schemes, energy centres, district heating networks and other major projects.
- Maintaining an awareness of cost implications within the design process.
- Dealing with design issues and minimising their impact.
- Conducting HAZOP studies and Risk Assessments.
- Assisting in specifying mechanical aspects for tendering works.
Educated to at least Degree level in Mechanical, Building Services or similar Engineering discipline.
Design experience in most of the following fields: Building Services, Heat Pumps (Air, Water-source, Ground-source), Boilers/Heating, HVAC, Steam, Air Handling, Cooling, District Heating or similar.
Full UK manual driving licence.
