Data Manager
Introduction
We are currently looking to recruit a Data Manager to join the Process Transformation team at our Liverpool Headquarters on a full-time, Permanent Contract.
This role maintains and governs core datasets, enhances data quality, and ensures data is accessible for reporting, analysis, and decision-making. The Data Manager is responsible for performing regular data administration activities, data quality reviews, and corrective actions to resolve data issues and maintain data integrity.
The Data Manager works closely with the Finance team and wider business stakeholders to develop, implement, and continuously improve data standards, governance frameworks, and data‑driven solutions.

What will you do?
As the Data Manager, your main responsibilities will consist of:
- Conduct data entry tasks with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and completeness. Perform regular data quality checks to identify and resolve data inconsistencies or errors.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency and quality by enforcing data standards and naming conventions. Whilst maintaining and updating relevant documentation.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to generate regular and ad-hoc reports. Develop and maintain data dashboards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data needs and design solutions to support effective data interpretation and business decision‑making.
- Implement data security measures to protect sensitive and confidential information, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and making sure that the correct user permissions are in place — including conducting regular segregation of duty (SoD) checks to identify and mitigate conflicting access rights.
- Coordinate data integration efforts across various systems and platforms. Troubleshooting any data integration issues and resolving data inconsistencies
- Monitor and optimize database performance, including indexing, query optimization, and data archiving.
- Act as the Data Owner for the ERP system, ensuring data governance standards are upheld, overseeing data lifecycle management, approving data changes, and ensuring system data remains accurate, secure, and fit for business use.
- Subject matter expert for tactical automation e.g. excel, PowerBiand Monday.com
Essential
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Data Manager or in a similar role
- Experience maintaining and governing master data within business systems and the ERP platforms.
- Familiarity with data security and privacy practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced Excel and Power Bi skills, including data analysis and reporting.
- Experience creating and maintaining dashboards and business reports in Power Bi
