As our business continues to grow globally, we are seeking a talented and commercially minded Legal Counsel to join our in-house legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor with approximately 3 years' post-qualification experience to develop a broad and rewarding in-house career. This is a two-year fixed term contract, reporting to the Head of HR and Legal, and working with an experienced paralegal, you will provide practical, highly commercial legal support to stakeholders across Vitaflo's global operations. The role offers exposure to a wide range of legal matters including commercial contracts, intellectual property, data protection, compliance, advisory work and legal operations. You will work closely with colleagues across the business and with external legal advisers in multiple jurisdictions.
- Commercial Contracts
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including software and technology contracts.
- Advise stakeholders on contractual risks and appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Advise on IPR-related risks and mitigation in marketing materials, product launches, etc.
- Data Protection and Digital/AI
- Support data processing assessments, supplier reviews and data sharing arrangements.
- Advise on digital and technology projects across the business, including championing the safe and responsible use of AI.
- Compliance
- Support the business in understanding legal requirements relevant to specialised nutrition products.
- Assist with compliance programmes, policies and training.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the business.
- Support investigations and compliance reviews where required.
- Legal Operations
- Act as a first point of contact for routine legal queries from internal stakeholders.
- Maintain legal databases and corporate governance documentation.
- Support on strategic legal matters and cross-functional projects.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
- Strong grounding in commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
- Ability to provide practical, business-focused legal advice.
- Experience gained in a leading private practice firm and/or an in-house legal team.
