The role of Senior Finance Business Partner is an integral part of the commercial finance department and reports directly into the Head of Commercial Finance. Interested applicants must have a proven track record of working at this level and be able to excel in the following areas:

  • Be the first point of call to senior leaders across key business departments for financial and strategic insight.
  • Ensure leaders are showing cost discipline by challenging thoughts and decisions in a constructive manner with a holistic perspective.
  • Build relationships to develop a deep understanding of the business and the drivers of financial performance.
  • Provide transparent and actionable budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with the company's growth strategy.
  • Deliver accurate, insightful and timely financial reports to senior stakeholders.
  • Develop robust financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic decision making and optimise business performance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, identifying risks and opportunities and proactively recommending corrective actions.
  • Support ROI analysis and scenario modelling.
  • Enhance FP&A processes, leveraging automation and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • A technically strong skill set subsequently enhanced with strong business partnering capabilities.
  • Able to support non-finance, operational and commercial staff alike.
  • Consistent track record of working at this level for a medium to large commercial business and ideally with Private Equity backing.
  • Advanced ERP and Excel knowledge.
  • Driven to exceed expectations and tackle an ever-evolving remit.
  • Within a 1-hour commute of Cambridge.
