Our Client, a well-established, market-leading organisation, is looking for an experienced and hands-on Payroll Supervisor to join its talented team based in Hemel Hempstead. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of an end-to-end payroll function spanning the UK and overseas, while playing a key role in the transition to a new payroll system - Dayforce.

The Role

  • You'll be responsible for the full payroll cycle across multiple territories, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time delivery at all times.
  • Working alongside one Payroll Administrator based in the same Hemel offices, you'll provide leadership, direction, and day-to-day support while managing workloads, cover, and professional development.
  • Beyond BAU, you'll drive payroll strategy, lead on projects including pay reviews and system migration, and act as the primary escalation point for complex queries.
  • You'll work closely with Finance and key stakeholders to ensure payroll is a function the business can rely on.
  • International payroll responsibilities will require flexibility on working hours during processing weeks, with a minimum of three 11:00-19:00 shifts on a rota basis.

What We're Looking For

  • Solid end-to-end payroll experience, ideally managing payroll for 2,000+ employees.
  • International payroll experience is essential.
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce would be a significant advantage.
  • Previous experience supervising or leading a payroll team.
  • Strong UK payroll knowledge including PAYE, NI, auto-enrolment and statutory payments.
  • CIPP qualification or equivalent is desirable.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confident, independent decision-making.

Working Arrangements

This role is fully office-based in Hemel Hempstead during the onboarding and Dayforce implementation period. Following successful completion of probation, the role will move to 1 day working from home per week.

If you're a payroll professional who thrives in a hands-on, project-rich environment and you're ready to make your mark on a growing international payroll function, this will be the perfect career opportunity.
