Head of Mid-Market Client Management – Credit Risk
London, Hybrid (2 days per week)
£75,000 – £85,000 + Competitive Commission Scheme + Travel Allowance + 28 Days Holiday + Birthday Off + Healthcare (Employee & Dependent) + 12% Pension
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a strategic and commercially astute leader with a strong background in credit risk to take charge of a high-performing Client Management team within a global financial services organisation.
This role is pivotal in driving retention, profitability, and expansion across the Mid-Market portfolio. You will oversee client relationships while ensuring a rigorous approach to risk assessment and portfolio management, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Client Managers to achieve ambitious retention and growth targets.
- Design and implement strategic plans to optimise client relationships and portfolio profitability.
- Oversee credit risk exposure, collaborating with risk teams to manage loss ratios effectively.
- Drive compliance with regulatory frameworks, including KYC, GDPR, and industry best practices.
- Strengthen relationships with clients and brokers, identifying opportunities for expansion.
- Promote operational efficiency and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and engagement.
What We’re Looking For:
- Extensive experience in credit risk management, ideally within trade credit insurance, financial services, or risk management sectors.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong commercial acumen, with a track record in client retention and revenue growth.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to drive change in complex environments.
Tech & Systems Proficiency:
- Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- CRM systems
Qualifications & Experience:
- A-levels (minimum), with a degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline preferred.
- Senior leadership experience in account management, credit risk, insurance, or financial services.
