Finance Business Partner – Technology & IT

This is initially a 12 Months FTC working for a major global business who operate a flexible Hybrid working policy and are renowned as an employer of choice.
The role offers an exciting opportunity to act as Finance Business Partner to multiple functions and stakeholders providing finance support to a major Technology Deployment Project. This is a high-value, multi-year project encompassing Capex and Opex to update and upgrade key technology platforms.
We are seeking an experience Finance Business Partner who has operated previous within a larger Corporate environment where they have acted as a key Finance Business Partner ideally within the technology or IT space.
You will likely be a Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with previous experience working within commercial finance as a Financial Analyst, Finance Business Partner, FP&A Analyst or similar.
You will have a demonstrable track record of supporting non-finance stakeholders with financial insight, decision support, budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting and variance analysis. Naturally you will have excellent Excel skills and the ability to present and articulate complex financial data into insightful and meaningful commercial and operational decision support.
In Detail:
Working with stakeholders across the business to understand key financial elements of the project.
Ensuring financial assumptions are captured, understood by stakeholders and aligned to Group strategy.
Develop forecasts for the project.
Act as a sounding board to project stakeholders, using business acumen and commercial awareness to both counsel and constructively challenge to drive the best outcomes.
Communicate appropriately within Finance so that other Finance Business Partners and Finance Management are appropriately consulted or informed about the project.
Represent Finance on the project steering committee.
Provide financial and scenario modelling as assumptions or the environment changes.
Develop reporting pack to track actual spend vs budget/forecast, spend to go, risks and opportunities etc.
Provide financial support and guidance for queries of an ad-hoc nature.
Work as part of the Operations finance team, supporting the Finance Business Partner for Operations on other topics and initiatives where required.
