Bristol (Flexible Hybrid 2 days in Office)

We are looking for an experienced part or qualified accountant to join this highly successful division of a major wider Group with revenues of over £2 Billion. Initially offered as a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract, the role will be based at the company's Divisional Head office in Bristol on a Hybrid basis, typically 2 days a week.

The role will work closely with the Financial Controller to support the finance team through a period of growth and change, playing a crucial support role. This will be a hands-on and varied role assisting with various financial reporting deadlines as well as collating, analysing and interpreting data from various sources.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with various periodic reporting requirements including month end, project, overhead reporting and cashflow reporting.
  • Preparing, reviewing and posting journals.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review and allocation of operational and overhead costs to relevant cost centres ensuring relevant cost centre, project and function codes are correctly applied.
  • Assist with resolving AP and AR issues, manage aged debtors and creditors.
  • Assist and liaise with commercial and operational teams over monthly cost value reconciliations.
  • Support with external audit as required.
  • Other ad hoc support to finance teams.

What we are looking for:

  • Must be available to start within 2 weeks maximum (Ideally you will be available immediately).
  • You will have at least 3 - 5 years relevant experience within a management / financial accounting role.
  • Previous experience of month-end reporting.
  • Previous experience of posting journals, balance sheet reconciliations etc.
  • Part or qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Able to easily commute to Bristol and work in the office at least 2 days a week (Slightly more whilst being inducted).
