Our client is a highly respected international organisation seeking a technically strong Financial Accountant to join their Group Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working within a collaborative, high-performing finance function, taking ownership of group reporting, statutory accounts, technical accounting and financial control in a complex, multi-entity environment.

Working alongside an experienced finance leadership team, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate month-end reporting, supporting statutory reporting requirements and providing technical accounting expertise across the business. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly group consolidation journals and support the group reporting process.
  • Produce statutory financial statements and supporting disclosures.
  • Deliver technical accounting guidance, including the application of IFRS.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and month-end reporting.
  • Support both internal and external audit processes, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Research complex accounting matters and provide practical recommendations.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across finance and the wider business.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting efficiency.

About You

You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting knowledge and experience operating within a corporate finance or practice environment. You'll also bring:

  • Strong IFRS knowledge and technical accounting capability.
  • Experience of group reporting, consolidations and statutory accounts.
  • Excellent analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to work with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting audit processes and maintaining robust financial controls.
