In this role you’ll…
- Lead the technical agenda on site at St Mary Bourne, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality and legal compliance
- Be accountable for compliance with BRCGS, customer standards and all relevant legislation
- Ensure the site is audit‑ready at all times by hosting and acting as the technical lead for our customer and third‑party audits
- Own and maintain site HACCP, food safety systems, risk assessments and specifications
- Drive continuous improvement in quality performance and food safety culture
- Lead and develop our QA team of up to 14 people, driving performance and engagement within our on‑site Technical Team
- Proactively manage the site QMS within the direct and wider team
You can do this if…
- You have proven experience in a Technical and / or Quality Management role within food manufacturing, fresh produce or similar environment
- You have strong working knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP and retailer standards
- You’re confident leading audits and managing external stakeholders
- You have experience managing and developing technical or quality teams
- You’re proactive, detail‑focused with a solutions‑focused mindset and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
- You communicate clearly and build effective relationships across all levels of the business
- You may already be a Technical Manager, or an experienced QA Manager ready to take the next step
