As a Growing Operative at Vitacress Herbs, you will play a hands-on role in producing and maintaining healthy plants, completing weekly production targets, and upholding the highest standards of food hygiene across our site.

You will take pride in maximising crop quality and quantity through efficient operational tasks, and you will be encouraged to train on new machinery, learn how to grow crops to a professional standard and develop in line with your performance.

  • Safely operate machinery and report faults promptly.
  • Perform routine crop husbandry tasks on a variety of pot herbs in an advanced glasshouse.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure weekly production programmes are complete.
  • Complete a variety of glasshouse tasks throughout the year.
  • Continuously enhance your skills through training and self-development.

Our ideal candidate is motivated, physically fit, and a great team player who enjoys learning and developing. You will bring good communication skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and either experience or a keen interest in developing a career in horticulture. It’s a bonus if you have knowledge of manual handling and working as part of a team in a large operation especially if within a horticultural environment.
