Job Opportunity: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: St Mary Bourne
Shift: 4on4off – 2days / 2 nights
Up to £52,000
Are you a hands-on engineer who loves solving problems and keeping things running smoothly?
At Vitacress, we’re looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our close-knit Engineering team. You’ll play a key role in keeping our chilled food manufacturing site operating at its best—tackling breakdowns, leading planned maintenance, and delivering small but impactful improvement projects.
In this role, you will:
- Jump into action to fix faults and reduce downtime
- Carry out planned maintenance to keep machinery in top shape
- Suggest smart improvements that boost efficiency and cut waste
- Work alongside Production, Technical and Hygiene teams to get things done
- Accurately record data to support continuous improvement and compliance
- Ensure everything you do meets health & safety, food safety, and Vitacress standards
What you bring:
- Solid engineering maintenance experience
- Strong electrical & mechanical fault-finding skills
- Confidence reading technical drawings and working with pneumatics
- Fabrication and welding experience
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset
- A recognised engineering qualification (e.g., apprenticeship or graduate programme)
