Vitacress Salads, located in St Mary Bourne, Andover, Hampshire, United Kingdom, is hiring a Hygiene Operative to maintain cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene across our production facility.

Overview

This role ensures that high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and microbiological standards are achieved daily. The Hygiene Operative will support audits, respond to non-conformances, and help new team members develop. Full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Clean factory machinery, equipment, and production areas to a high standard.
• Follow cleaning procedures and Hygiene Cleaning Instruction Cards (CICs).
• Ensure hygiene, food safety, and microbiological standards are maintained.
• Support hygiene audits and respond to non-conformances when required.
• Report equipment faults, safety concerns, or damage identified during cleaning.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily operational targets.
• Support and guide new team members when required.
• Promote a safe working environment while adhering to all company policies.

• Using long and sometimes heavy hoses and cleaning equipment.
• Standing and moving for extended periods.
