Maintenance Operative. Bristol

Salary: £28,000 per annum

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 6pm

Vita Student\’s next-level apartment design offers a variety of studios to suit our students lives with the privacy of living alone or the laughter of living together. We offer style, luxury & comfort to our residents, surrounded by premium amenities and a vibrant city life. Our Maintenance Operative play a critical function, ensuring the smooth running of operational building facilities. This is a customer-facing environment where you will be responsible for maintaining Vita Student’s highest building standards.

Our Maintenance Operatives

  • Respond to maintenance requests, promptly addressing student and staff reports of issues with plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, lighting, furniture, and other equipment.
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
  • Conduct regular inspections of residence facilities to identify potential issues and performing scheduled maintenance tasks
  • General repairs, such as fixing minor issues like leaky plumbing, broken fixtures, damaged doors, and wall repairs.
  • Performing minor tasks like replacing flooring, repairing furniture, and touch-up painting & decorating.
  • Ground works, maintaining the upkeep of outdoor areas such as grass-cutting & hedge-trimming/shaping.
  • Safety compliance. Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures when performing maintenance tasks.

  • Experienced delivering preventive and corrective fire alarm and firefighting system maintenance
  • Skilled across a variety of maintenance functions
  • Well-versed in delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) within a similar environment.
  • Demonstrable understanding and adherence of safety compliance regulations and procedures.
  • IT literate
