Day Concierge – Manchester

Contract: Permanent, 16 hours per week

Working Hours: 7am – 9pm (working days vary week to week, flexibility required)

Designed for the life blood of the city such as graduates starting their careers, Union CoLiving apartments provide a platform for young professionals to thrive. Central locations provide easy access to work, beautifully styled apartments, co‑working space and social hubs. We’re expanding our Day Concierge team with the appointment of an experienced customer‑focused professional to deliver a luxury, home‑from‑home experience for our residents.

Our Concierge Team

Provide an exceptional & personalised service to residents by anticipating and delivering to their needs; offering information on local attractions and handling enquiries with a focus on creating a seamless and positive experience.

Responsibilities

  • Front of House / Reception: greet and welcome residents and guests with a warm, friendly and vibrant attitude.
  • Manage room turnarounds, check‑in and check‑outs.
  • Be available for questions that may arise.
  • Ensure facilities are looked after respectfully by residents & guests.
  • Deliver solutions to issues or challenges that may arise.
  • Maintain the upkeep of our premium site & facilities; communal areas must be cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
  • Conduct block walks every 4‑6 hours surveying and reporting every area of the building.
  • Replenish refreshment stock (coffee beans, tea bags, milk, vending machine products).
  • Be the point of contact for any potential incident or emergency that may occur onsite.
  • Manage & store parcels correctly to allow residents to easily access deliveries as required.
  • Maintain waste management areas adhering to health & safety regulations, ensuring hazards are addressed, cleaned, tidied or reorganised as required.

Professional Experience

  • An experienced customer service professional, well‑versed in delivering premium experiences to residents & guests.
  • Previous concierge experience would be an advantage.
  • Ability to demonstrate a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and safety of communal areas.
  • Technologically astute, able to operate a variety of technology systems and software.

Personal Characteristics

  • Can thrive in a multicultural environment, delivering a diverse and equal approach to colleagues and residents.
  • Excellent communication skills; English will be the primary spoken language (multilingual skills warmly welcomed).
  • Strong organisational and leadership qualities with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Adaptable, creative & positive.
  • Resilient, able to navigate unexpected situations.
  • Capable of tasks involving extended standing and repetitive movements (reasonable adjustments considered).
  • Flexibility: facilities open 24/7, 356 days a year; availability required to ensure continuous service.
