Hourly Rate: £12.71

Contract: Permanent, zero hour contract, part-time hours

Working Patterns: Our Bar Backs work collaboratively throughout the full week. Shifts can start as early as 7am and finish as late as 2am. Days, hours and responsibilities will rotate weekly subject to demands and team availability.

House of Social Food Hall is Manchester’s newest and most exciting food hall. A collection of five independent kitchens, serving food and drink to suit every taste and time. We’re looking for energetic and proactive Bar Backs to join our team to support with the delivery of our premium standards.

Responsibilities
  • Restock spirits, kegs, glassware, ice, and garnishes throughout service.
  • Keep bar areas clean, tidy, and well-organised at all times.
  • Collect and wash glassware quickly and efficiently.
  • Assist bartenders with preparing garnishes and setting up stations before service.
  • Receive and help check off deliveries of bar stock, ensuring items are correctly stored and rotated.
  • Help move and organise stock between storage areas and the bar.
  • Support with waste disposal and recycling during and after shifts.
  • Step in to help with floor running or guest support when required.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Work closely with chefs, runners, bartenders and management to ensure coordinated and efficient service.
  • Support the team during peak times and events on the floor and bar areas.
  • Participate in briefings, tastings, and training sessions to maintain brand and product knowledge.
  • Maintain the upkeep of our premium site and facilities; communal areas must be cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
  • Be a point of contact for any potential incident or emergency that may occur on site.
  • Maintain waste management areas adhering to health standards.

Skills: Adaptability, creativity, and positivity. Resilience, with an ability to effectively navigate unexpected situations. Able to carry out tasks that may involve extended periods of standing and repetitive movements, with reasonable adjustments considered where required. Flexibility: Our facilities are open to customers 7 days a week, including bank holidays, festive periods.
