Project Manager – Damp Remediation & Void Works Location: Woodford, Essex / Nationwide Working pattern: Mobile role – 2 days per week in the Woodford office, with regular travel to sites Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Employment: Permanent Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in construction, refurbishment, property maintenance or void works? We are working with an established construction business that is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a mobile role, overseeing damp remediation, refurbishment and void works across multiple locations throughout the UK, including London, Bristol, Guildford, Reading and surrounding areas. You will be based from the company’s Woodford office two days per week, where you will update the team on project progress, discuss upcoming works and remain closely connected with the wider business. The remainder of your time will be spent travelling to and managing projects on site. The Role As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple projects from instruction through to completion. Projects can include: * Damp remediation and associated building works * Plastering and internal repairs * Kitchen installations and refurbishments * Bathroom installations and refurbishment * Full void property works and reinstatement * General building and maintenance works * Coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors * Managing programmes, quality, costs and health & safety * Liaising with clients, residents, subcontractors and internal teams * Carrying out regular site visits and monitoring progress * Identifying issues early and ensuring they are resolved * Providing clear and regular progress updates to the office and wider team About You We are looking for a practical and proactive Project Manager who understands construction and can confidently manage multiple trades and projects. You will ideally have: * Previous Project Management experience within construction, refurbishment, property maintenance or a similar environment * A good understanding of multiple construction trades * Experience managing subcontractors and site teams * Experience with damp remediation, refurbishment, voids or similar works * Strong organisational and communication skills * Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for quality * The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities * A proactive approach to problem solving * A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel nationwide You don't need to be a specialist in every individual trade, but you should have a strong all-round understanding of construction and be confident identifying poor workmanship, programme issues or potential problems before they become bigger issues. Location & Travel The role is based from the company's Woodford office, with an expectation that you will attend the office twice a week. The remainder of the role is site-based and mobile, with travel required to projects across the UK, including areas such as London, Bristol, Guildford and Reading. Candidates based in East London, West London, South West London or surrounding areas may be particularly well suited to the role. Locations such as Woodford, Uxbridge, Twickenham and the wider London area could work well, provided you are comfortable with the travel requirements.
