We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a leading principal contractor delivering major new build projects across the leisure and healthcare sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven construction professional with a strong background in Design & Build projects, site leadership, subcontractor management, programme delivery, and health & safety compliance.
As the Site Manager you will take full responsibility for day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and coordinating subcontractors, labour and suppliers
- Driving programme delivery and short-term planning
- Leading site health & safety in line with CDM Regulations
- Overseeing quality assurance and inspections
- Managing Building Regulations compliance and statutory inspections
- Coordinating design information on Design & Build projects
- Client and stakeholder liaison
- Using Procore and digital construction management systems
- Maintaining accurate site records, reports and progress updates
Senior Site Manager Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Site Manager, including Senior Site Manager experience
- Proven background delivering new build projects
- Strong experience working on JCT Design & Build contracts
- Excellent subcontractor management and coordination skills
- Strong IT and computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and digital construction platforms
- Experience within leisure, healthcare, commercial or public sector schemes
- Excellent health & safety knowledge
- Procore experience desirable
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Essential Qualifications:
- SMSTS
- Black CSCS Card
- First Aid at Work
- Asbestos Awareness
- Fire Marshal/Warden
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 6/7 or construction-related degree
- BIM/Revit experience
- Experience on large multi-trade developments
