Are you an experienced Document Control Lead or Senior Document Controller looking for your next challenge? We are recruiting for a highly organised and proactive professional to lead the document control function across multiple high-profile MEP construction projects. The Role
Reporting to the Business Strategy Manager, you will take ownership of document control processes across multiple projects while leading and developing a team of Document Controllers and project support staff. Working closely with project managers, design teams, engineers, commercial teams, subcontractors and site teams, you will ensure technical documentation is managed accurately and efficiently throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the document control and project administration function across multiple construction projects.
- Line manage, mentor and develop a team of Document Controllers and project support staff.
- Plan workloads, allocate resources and ensure the team effectively supports project delivery.
- Conduct one-to-one meetings, probation reviews, appraisals and performance reviews.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing development of team members.
- Establish and maintain document control procedures, standards and best practices.
- Manage project documentation throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Control drawing registers, RFIs, technical submissions, transmittals and project correspondence.
- Ensure drawings and documentation are issued, filed and archived accurately and in line with company procedures.
- Monitor drawing revisions to ensure project teams are always working from the latest approved information.
- Coordinate with design teams, engineers, subcontractors and site teams to ensure timely distribution of project information.
