A successful and well-established main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager to join their team on a permanent, office-based basis.

You will have a key role within the commercial function, with the opportunity to influence commercial strategy, make important decisions and contribute directly to the successful delivery and profitability of projects.
The Role As Commercial Manager, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects, working closely with the operational and senior management teams.
Key responsibilities will include:
Taking overall commercial responsibility for allocated projects.
Leading commercial strategy and decision-making.
Managing and supporting the commercial team.
Managing project costs, budgets, forecasts and cash flow.
Reviewing and negotiating construction contracts and subcontract agreements.
Managing subcontractor procurement and commercial negotiations.
Overseeing valuations, applications, payments, variations and final accounts.
Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
Providing accurate commercial reporting and forecasting.
Working closely with Project Managers and operational teams.
Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
Supporting senior management with commercial advice and decision-making.
Developing and improving commercial processes and best practice.
