We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to provide holiday cover on a live school site in Greenwich. This is a short-term assignment starting this Saturday and lasting for a few days. Due to the nature of the project, an Enhanced DBS certificate is essential.

The Role

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the construction site.
  • Manage subcontractors and ensure work is completed safely and to programme.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, secure and well-organised site at all times.
  • Coordinate daily site activities and logistics.
  • Carry out site inspections and monitor the quality of workmanship.
  • Complete site documentation, including site diaries and health and safety records.
  • Liaise with the client, project managers and other stakeholders as required.
  • Identify and resolve site issues quickly to minimise delays.
  • Ensure works are carried out with minimal disruption to the live school environment.

About You

  • Previous experience working as a Site Manager on construction projects.
  • Experience working within live occupied sites, ideally schools or other public buildings.
  • Valid SMSTS qualification.
  • Valid First Aid at Work certificate.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS certificate is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of current health and safety legislation.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain programme requirements.
