We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to provide holiday cover on a live school site in Greenwich. This is a short-term assignment starting this Saturday and lasting for a few days. Due to the nature of the project, an Enhanced DBS certificate is essential.
The Role
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the construction site.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure work is completed safely and to programme.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
- Maintain a safe, secure and well-organised site at all times.
- Coordinate daily site activities and logistics.
- Carry out site inspections and monitor the quality of workmanship.
- Complete site documentation, including site diaries and health and safety records.
- Liaise with the client, project managers and other stakeholders as required.
- Identify and resolve site issues quickly to minimise delays.
- Ensure works are carried out with minimal disruption to the live school environment.
About You
- Previous experience working as a Site Manager on construction projects.
- Experience working within live occupied sites, ideally schools or other public buildings.
- Valid SMSTS qualification.
- Valid First Aid at Work certificate.
- A valid Enhanced DBS certificate is essential.
- Strong knowledge of current health and safety legislation.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain programme requirements.
