We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to provide holiday cover on a new build project in Godalming, Surrey. This is a short-term assignment starting 10th July for one week's cover.
The Role
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the construction site.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure work is completed safely and to programme.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
- Maintain a safe, secure and well-organised site at all times.
- Coordinate daily site activities and site logistics.
- Carry out site inspections and monitor the quality of workmanship.
- Complete site documentation, including site diaries and health and safety records.
- Liaise with the client, project team and other stakeholders as required.
- Identify and resolve site issues quickly to minimise delays.
- Ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard.
About You
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Site Manager who can hit the ground running and confidently manage a new build construction project with minimal supervision.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Site Manager on new build construction projects.
- Strong facade/external envelope experience is essential.
- Valid SMSTS qualification.
- Valid First Aid at Work certificate.
- Strong knowledge of current health and safety legislation.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain programme requirements.
