Our client is a successful, family-run main contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a
Design Manager
to join their office-based team.

The Role
As Design Manager, you will play a key role in managing the design process from pre-construction through to project delivery.

Working closely with internal teams, consultants and clients, you will ensure designs are coordinated, compliant and delivered on programme.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Design Manager or an Architect who is looking to take the next step into a Design Management role within a well-established main contractor.

Responsibilities
Managing the design process across multiple construction projects.

Coordinating architects, consultants and subcontractors to ensure design information is delivered on time.

Reviewing drawings and technical information for buildability and compliance.

Working closely with the commercial, estimating and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Identifying and resolving design issues before they impact programme or cost.

Attending design meetings and liaising with clients and consultants.

Ensuring all design information meets current building regulations and project requirements.

About You
Previous experience as a Design Manager within a main contractor
or
a qualified Architect looking to move into Design Management.

Strong technical understanding of construction and building design.

Excellent knowledge of the design and construction process.

Confident communicator with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.

A collaborative approach and a keen eye for detail.
