Using your clinical expertise, you will assess the suitability of new referrals through telephone assessments and provide short term, low intensity interventions via telephone, online webinars, and computerised CBT (cCBT). Where needed, you will work closely with colleagues at Steps 3 and 4, and external services, to support safe onward referrals and step ups, at all times maintaining and advocating for patient dignity, confidentiality and inclusivity.

A Graduate/Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in Low Intensity Interventions (Adults), BABCP or BPS registration or pending registration (if returning to practice and not sure how to meet registration requirements, we are happy to discuss prior to interview) is required. Experience of working with people who have experienced a mental health problem is essential. We happily welcome applications from newly qualified practitioners and are looking for PWPs who are willing to be based locally. There is a minimum of one day working in-person in the Newcastle service area with the remainder of the week as remote. The week will also include one late shift (12-8pm). The days around these are flexible.
