This is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of Spire's growth agenda, offering the opportunity to influence how we engage employers, partners, healthcare professionals, commissioners, patients and communities across the UK. Working closely with senior stakeholders and reporting directly to the Group Marketing Director, you will develop insight-led marketing strategies that deliver measurable commercial outcomes, improve patient engagement, strengthen market positioning and support business growth.
As a senior marketing leader, you will be responsible for developing and executing integrated B2B and B2B2C marketing strategies, leading a high-performing team, and ensuring marketing delivers demonstrable value across both business units. From strategic campaigns and brand development to bids, mobilisations and customer acquisition, you will play a key role in helping more people access the healthcare services and support they need, while contributing directly to Spire Healthcare's long-term success.
Essential Requirements:
- Senior marketing management and leadership experience, ideally across healthcare, B2B, B2B2C, public sector, commissioned services or similarly complex environments.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver strategic marketing plans that drive growth, demand, engagement, referrals and measurable impact.
- Experience leading teams, functions, verticals or portfolios, with the ability to prioritise resources across competing business needs.
- Strong strategic understanding of digital marketing, website, CRM, marketing automation, content strategy and performance reporting experience, with the ability to use these channels to drive growth, engagement, referrals and measurable impact.
- Demonstrable experience using data, insight and ROI reporting to shape strategy, optimise activity and influence senior decisions.
- Experienced people manager, who can coach and motivate a high-performing team.
- Experience managing multiple budgets, agencies, partners and stakeholders across matrixed organisations.
- Experience working with diverse audiences and a strong understanding of accessibility, inclusivity, patient/public engagement and plain English communications.
- Ability to influence at senior leadership level, including contributing to bids, mobilisations, service launches and business cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set, lead and be accountable for the integrated marketing strategy across B2B WPH and B2B2C NHS Services, translating organisational priorities into clear plans, measurable outcomes and cross-functional delivery.
- Lead the development and optimisation of digital channels, marketing technology, CRM and automation capabilities across Workplace Health and NHS Services, improving efficiency, scalability, customer and patient experience, data quality and marketing effectiveness.
- Build a data-led performance culture, establishing KPIs, dashboards and reporting frameworks that measure campaign effectiveness for investment, growth and improvement purposes.
- Work closely with Spire Group Marketing, Corporate Affairs and relevant senior stakeholders to ensure activity aligns with the Spire master brand, corporate narrative and wider reputation priorities.
- Provide strategic marketing input into bids, new service launches, contract mobilisations and proposition development.
- Manage and inspire a high-performing team across both business units in a fast-paced environment, offering advice and guidance, championing best practice in a highly compliant industry – showcasing inclusivity, creativity and innovation aligned with Spire’s values and responsibilities.
About You:
- Inspiring marketing leader with a passion for developing high-performing teams.
- Influential communicator who thrives in senior stakeholder environments.
- Commercial mindset with a clear focus on growth, impact and return on investment.
- Data-driven and insight-led, using evidence to optimise performance and inform strategy.
- Organised, detail-oriented and delivery-focused, with strong prioritisation skills.
- Proactive problem solver committed to delivering measurable business value.
