We have a fantastic fixed-term opportunity available for an Estates and Facilities Lead, who will be working specifically on a B2C Spire Primary Care offering. This is a 2-year project where the successful candidate, along with our high-achieving team, will travel across the UK acquiring 6-10 sites per year, setting up high-end primary care services. The Lead role is integral to the overall Primary care project delivery model: Leading on the Estates work stream, you will be providing subject matter expertise for Estates and Facilities management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the estates workstream for the delivery of new primary care hub sites, from initial site identification and feasibility through to opening and operational handover.
- Manage end‐to‐end fit‐out and improvement projects, including contractor engagement, site surveys, technical specifications, build programmes and progress meetings.
- Ensure all sites meet statutory, Health & Safety and CDM requirements, coordinating inspections, audits, surveys and compliance documentation.
- Oversee site mobilisation and readiness, including procurement of medical equipment, furniture and fittings (FFE), asset setup and facilities planning.
- Monitor and control estates budgets, managing approvals, tracking spend, reporting variances and supporting strong financial governance.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, landlords and managing agents, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Provide regular reporting and updates to project teams, governance forums and senior estates leadership, highlighting progress, risks and mitigation actions.
- Deliver a structured handover of new sites into business‐as‐usual operations, including systems setup, documentation, training, sustainability considerations and transition to regional Estates and Facilities teams.
Requirements
- Appropriate Health and Safety qualification and ability to demonstrate a good level of understanding from a building compliance perspective.
- The ability to travel nationwide to various locations & a valid UK driving license.
