Vita Health Group NHS Talking Therapies Services are seeking a Clinical Lead for Step 2 to clinically oversee services in the Kent and Medway area. This is a remote role with travel within Kent and Medway as needed. On some occasions, other UK travel may be required. You should be registered with the BPS or BABCP and qualified to appropriately supervise at all the levels required.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of relevant policies and best practice guidance to ensure compliance with VHG clinical standards and processes.
- Participate in the continual review and improvement of clinical guidance alongside other Step 2/3 Clinical Leads and Principal Clinical Leads.
- Oversee and drive the clinical performance of Step 2 in the area, trouble-shooting areas of poor performance/quality with relevant members of the leadership team.
- Ensure visibility of clinical leadership at Step 2 across services in the area.
- Meta-supervision to PWP Supervisors and/or Senior Supervisors to ensure the consistency and quality of supervision provided across Step 2.
- Partner with Operational colleagues to ensure the efficiency of clinical delivery is balanced with the imperative to uphold clinical standards and ensure safe clinical practices across Step 2.
- In partnership with service management, oversee the recruitment and training processes of new employees, ensuring clinical standards are clearly articulated and measured.
- Manage and develop direct reports, supporting their personal development and ensuring they meet business needs.
- Undertake clinical assessment and treatment of clients within a Talking Therapies framework.
- Follow risk assessment and management procedures throughout clinical work with individuals.
- Ensure that all relevant clinical customer SLAs and KPIs are met and exceeded for Step 2 across the region, maintaining high standards of performance and customer satisfaction.
- Deputising for the Principal Clinical Lead at relevant meetings where appropriate.
Skills and experience
- IAPT/NHS TT Low Intensity Therapy Qualification (accredited by BPS) OR Qualified CBT therapist with relevant leadership experience.
- Current accreditation with either BABCP (CBT) OR registration with BPS or BABCP (PWP).
- Minimum 2 years accreditation with either BABCP (CBT) OR registration with BPS or BABCP (PWP).
- Experience of undertaking service evaluation/data analysis for the purposes of quality improvement.
- A committed and professional approach to work.
- Interpersonal skills to engage and develop working alliances with colleagues and clients.
- Experience of clinical leadership and line managing clinical staff.
- Attended NHS TT Supervision training.
- Experience of working at a leadership level within an NHS TT/IAPT or primary care MH service.
- Knowledge and understanding of wider mental health system functioning.
- Completed LI LTC training.
- Experience of generating clinical policy and/or guidance.
- Experience of using data to inform clinical modelling.
