We are looking for a confident and experienced Dermatology Nurse to lead community-based dermatology clinics, working remotely and onsite, supporting the Service Manager and Lead Nurse to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver community dermatology clinics with a varied and engaging caseload.
- Run independent prescribing clinics for chronic skin disease management.
- Support the skin cancer pathway, performing minor procedures including: punch biopsies, curettage, shave procedures, simple excisions.
- Provide expert assessment, advice, and ongoing support to patients and their families.
- Act as a key point of contact, building trusted relationships through excellent communication.
- Coordinate prescriptions efficiently using digital systems.
- Track results, document care, and manage patient communications.
- Contribute to MDT discussions and service development.
- Role-model evidence-based, compassionate care.
Qualifications
- NMC Level 1 Registered Nurse
- Non-Medical Independent Prescriber (V300)
- Specialist dermatology training (assessment & treatment)
- Significant experience in community dermatology
- Confident working independently
- Highly organised with strong digital skills
- Compassionate clinician with leadership potential
