The Head of IT will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the organisation’s IT operations, projects, and business partnering functions. Acting as deputy to the Director of IT, this position ensures the delivery of robust, secure, and innovative technology solutions that support clinical and business objectives. The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of cyber security within a healthcare context.

Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years' proven experience in senior IT leadership roles, ideally within healthcare or regulated industries.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience of IT operations, project management methodologies, and business partnering principles.
  • A minimum of 3 years' cyber security experience partnered with in-depth knowledge of cyber security frameworks and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills from executive level to entry level, across business areas.
  • Ability to manage budgets and deliver cost-effective solutions.
  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Desirable

  • Professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, PRINCE2, CISSP, CISM).
