Responsibilities
- Provide High Intensity CBT interventions recommended by NICE to clients with moderate to severe common mental health disorders.
- Conduct clinical practice three days per week, attend university two days per week (Thursdays in‑person, Fridays online), and participate in supervision provided by both the university and workplace.
- The role may include remote working and a nightly shift from 12:00‑8:00pm.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychological Therapists, Mental Health Nurses, Psychotherapists, Counsellors, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers or PWPs (with two years post‑qualification experience).
- Recognised and accredited core mental health professional training (e.g., BABCP/UKCP) or ability to demonstrate KSA requirements at interview.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a discipline connected to mental health or ability to study at third‑year undergraduate level.
- Membership of the BABCP from the time the course commences.
- Experience working in mental health services, including risk management.
- Willingness to travel, including overnight stays as required.
- Evidence of foundation level or sustained CPD in CBT.
- Evidence of supervised CBT practice.
- Experience in Primary Care/IAPT services.
- Demonstrated improvement of outcomes through agreed targets.
Additional Requirements
- Availability to attend interviews remote via Teams during the weeks of 29 June and 6 July 2026.
- Commence induction on 7 September 2026; first day of university induction 8 October 2026.
- If applying via the KSA route, submit draft portfolio to the university one week prior to interview (by 2 July).
- Disclosure and Barring check required.
- Ineligible if completed NHS or HEE funded training within the last two years.
- Only candidates with right to work in the UK without restriction and eligible for Home Fee status can be recruited.
