Payroll Officer – Alderley Edge, Cheshire
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum subject to experience
Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week
Working Patterns: Monday – Friday, flexible working hours. 1 day per week working from home if required.

We are looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Payroll Officer to join our team.
Our Payroll Officer
Will be responsible for administering the payroll function of the company, including wages and salary payments for all employees plus associated functions such as National Insurance, tax and pension payments.
- Ensuring all staff are paid promptly & accurately and the relevant payroll reports are submitted to the relevant third parties accurately and on a timely basis.
- Organise and prioritise own workload within agreed parameters.
- Manage multiple payrolls across all brands, paying approximately 1000 employees.
- Process the monthly payroll accurately, to deadline and to meet audit requirements.
- Process the monthly transfers for Overseas payroll.
- Ensure processing errors are minimised by continued development and improvement of internal processes and payroll system management.
- Administer payroll compliance as required e.g., PAYE, NIC, P11D’s, Pensions and Auto-enrolment.
- Process monthly payroll including statutory year end returns and P60s.
- Payment of PAYE, attachments, pensions and others as required.
- Prepare various gross payroll reports.
- Proactive in making improvements to processes and the payroll system.
- Proactive in development of communication and processes to employees to reduce queries.
- Register and update payroll records for starters and leavers.
- Issue all payslips electronically.
- Ensure the payroll system is up to date and information is correct and proactively keep up to date with statutory and legislative regulations.
- Act as Payroll system ‘super user’.
