Our Maintenance Operatives play a critical function, ensuring the smooth running of operational building facilities. This is a customer‑facing environment where you will be responsible for maintaining Vita Student’s highest building standards.
Responsibilities:- Respond to maintenance requests, promptly addressing student and staff reports of issues with plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, lighting, furniture, and other equipment.
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
- Conduct regular inspections of residence facilities to identify potential issues and perform scheduled maintenance tasks.
- General repairs such as fixing minor issues like leaky plumbing, broken fixtures, damaged doors, and wall repairs.
- Perform minor tasks like replacing flooring, repairing furniture and touch‑up painting & decorating.
- Ground works, maintaining the upkeep of outdoor areas such as grass‑cutting and hedge‑trimming/shaping.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures when performing maintenance tasks.
- Experience delivering preventive and corrective fire alarm and firefighting system maintenance.
- Skilled across a variety of maintenance functions.
- Well‑versed in delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) within a similar environment.
- Demonstrable understanding and adherence to safety compliance regulations and procedures.
- IT literate.
- Openness to working in a multicultural environment, welcoming colleagues and residents from all over the world with diverse cultural backgrounds and religious beliefs.
- Excellent communication skills. English will be the primary spoken language; however multilingual skills would be warmly welcomed.

- Annual Bonus: Calculated & rewarded subject to achieving targets set against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as reducing external contractor call‑outs fees, meeting pre‑set Service Level Agreements (SLAs), preventative maintenance management, feedback and building compliance.
