Monday – Friday 9am – 6pm (Flexibility may be offered).

Our Maintenance Operative plays a critical function, ensuring the smooth running of operational building facilities.

This is a customer-facing environment where you will be responsible for maintaining Vita Student’s highest building standards.

  • Our Maintenance Operatives
  • Respond to maintenance requests, promptly addressing student and staff reports of issues with plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, lighting, furniture, and other equipment.
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
  • Conduct regular inspections of residence facilities to identify potential issues and perform scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • General repairs, such as fixing minor issues like leaky plumbing, broken fixtures, damaged doors, and wall repairs.
  • Perform minor tasks like replacing flooring, repairing furniture, and touch-up painting & decorating.
  • Ground works, maintaining the upkeep of outdoor areas such as grass‑cutting & hedge‑trimming/shaping.
  • Safety compliance. Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures when performing maintenance tasks.
  • Professional Experience
  • Experienced delivering preventive and corrective fire alarm and firefighting system maintenance
  • Skilled across a variety of maintenance functions
  • Well‑versed in delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) within a similar environment
  • Demonstrable understanding and adherence of safety compliance regulations and procedures
  • IT literate
