Hourly Rate: £13.45 (plus holiday pay, £15.07 per hour in total) | Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 2nd October 2026, 15 hours per week | Working Hours: 9am – 9pm, flexible days.

Vita Student’s next‑level apartment design offers a variety of studios to suit our summer guests. We look for a Seasonal Housekeeper to provide an exceptional end‑of‑tenancy deep clean to studio apartments and communal areas, delivering top‑to‑bottom cleaning of vacant accommodation to meet Vita Student’s premium standards and ensure studios are fully prepared for incoming residents.

Responsibilities
  • Studio Kitchens & Private Dining Suites: Degrease hobs, extractor fans and splashbacks. Deep clean ovens, microwaves and other kitchen appliances. Clean and sanitise cupboards, drawers, fridges, and freezers. Descale sinks, taps and surrounding surfaces.
  • Communal Bathrooms & En‑suites: Scrub, descale and disinfect showers, toilets, sinks, tiles, screens and fixtures. Remove limescale, soap scum and water marks from all bathroom surfaces. Ensure all sanitary areas are cleaned to a high hygienic standard.
  • General Deep Cleaning: Wipe down doors, handles, frames, skirting boards, light switches, sockets and other accessible surfaces. Clean internal windows, window ledges, mirrors and glass surfaces. Remove dust, marks and cobwebs from all accessible areas.
  • Floors & Surfaces: Vacuum, steam clean and mop carpeted and hard floor surfaces. Dust and polish wardrobes, shelving, countertops, desks and other furniture. Ensure all surfaces are free from dust, stains and debris.
  • Communal Areas: Clean and maintain reception areas, communal corridors, gym suites, cinema rooms, study hubs, games rooms, stairwells, lifts and other shared spaces. Vacuum, mop, dust and sanitise communal touch points including handrails, door handles, intercom panels and light switches. Clean internal communal glazing, mirrors and accessible surfaces. Remove cobwebs and ensure communal areas are presented to the same high standard as resident accommodation. Empty communal bins where required and maintain the cleanliness of shared facilities.
  • Quality Control & Reporting: Conduct final quality checks to ensure cleaning standards are consistently achieved. Take before and after photographs as required. Identify and report any maintenance issues, damage, defects or health and safety concerns to the relevant management team and Maintenance Operatives. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Vita Student’s procedures, health and safety requirements and client expectations.
Professional Experience
  • Well‑versed housekeeping professional with experience in large, multi‑room residence facilities such as accommodation buildings, hotels or hospitals.
  • Previous experience in end‑of‑tenancy, residential, hotel, student accommodation or commercial cleaning.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Personal Characteristics
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet cleaning schedules and deadlines.
  • Physically capable of carrying out deep‑cleaning duties, including lifting, bending, reaching and standing for extended periods.
  • Technologically astute, comfortable with supporting technology systems and software.
  • Good understanding of COSHH regulations and practices.
  • Deliver a diverse and equal approach to colleagues and residents in a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent communication skills. English is the primary spoken language; multilingual skills are welcomed.
  • Strong work ethic and proactive approach to completing tasks.
  • Resilience and ability to navigate unexpected situations.

  • Flexibility required to accommodate 24/7 facilities; seasonal housekeeper must be available as required.
