The predicted salary is between 24000 - 32000 £ per year.

Salary: £28,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent, 42.5 hours per week

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 6pm (Flexibility may be offered).

Our Groundsman helps to maintain the high standards of our premium student accommodation. This is a customer-facing environment where you will be responsible for maintaining Vita Student’s highest standards.

A hands-on role, responsible for the maintenance, care, and presentation of outdoor areas. The role ensures that grounds are safe, functional, and visually appealing throughout the year.

  • Maintain excellent grounds standards, ensuring the exterior reflects the premium nature of the accommodation.
  • Grass cutting and general lawn maintenance.
  • Hedge cutting and ongoing upkeep of planted areas.
  • Litter picking and keeping outdoor areas clean and tidy.
  • Assisting the maintenance team with general tasks as required.
  • Support with basic handyman tasks within rooms and the building.
  • Painting support during peak periods with the calendar.
  • Bin store standards and swapping out bins where required.

Who we want to join our team

  • Prior grounds or landscaping experience would be preferred; however, training will be provided.
  • Reliable, practical, and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Basic handyman skills would be ideal.
  • Previous experience in customer service is preferred, as the role involves regular interaction with residents and visitors.

  • Excellent communication skills. English will be the primary spoken language; however multi-lingual skills would be warmly welcomed.

  • Able to carry out tasks that may involve extended periods of standing and repetitive movements, with reasonable adjustments considered where required.
