Overview: Vita Student’s next‑level apartment design offers a variety of studios to suit our students’ lives with the privacy of living alone or the laughter of living together. Our Maintenance Operatives play a critical function, ensuring the smooth running of operational building facilities. This is a customer‑facing environment where you will be responsible for maintaining Vita Student’s highest building standards.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to maintenance requests, promptly addressing student and staff reports of issues with plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, lighting, furniture, and other equipment.
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
- Conduct regular inspections of residence facilities to identify potential issues and perform scheduled maintenance tasks.
- General repairs, such as fixing minor issues like leaky plumbing, broken fixtures, damaged doors, and wall repairs.
- Perform minor tasks like replacing flooring, repairing furniture, and touch‑up painting & decorating.
- Ground works, maintaining the upkeep of outdoor areas such as grass‑cutting & hedge‑trimming/shaping.
- Safety compliance. Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures when performing maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
- Experienced delivering preventive and corrective fire alarm and firefighting system maintenance.
- Skilled across a variety of maintenance functions.
- Well‑versed in delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) within a similar environment.
- Demonstrable understanding and adherence of safety compliance regulations and procedures.
- IT literate.
