Role Description

The Music Teacher will design and deliver engaging music lessons for students across relevant age groups, ensuring alignment with the school’s curriculum and educational standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include teaching music theory and performance, planning lesson materials, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The role also involves organizing and directing musical activities such as ensembles, concerts, and school events, while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Enfield, requiring regular collaboration with colleagues and participation in staff meetings and school initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Music Theory and general Music knowledge, with the ability to teach core concepts clearly and effectively.
• Demonstrated Music Performance skills, with experience in leading or accompanying students in individual and group performances.
• Background in Music Education, including experience planning lessons, assessing learning outcomes, and adapting instruction to diverse student needs.
• Proficiency in Piano, with the ability to use piano in teaching, accompaniment, and performance support.
• Relevant teaching qualification or certification, and prior experience as a music educator in a school or similar setting.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
• Ability to collaborate with school staff, contribute to extracurricular music activities, and participate in school events.
• Degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field is highly desirable.
