About the Role
Vita CV is hiring on behalf of a growing UK-based accountancy practice seeking a Remote Bookkeeping Assistant to support daily financial operations for multiple clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone detail-oriented and experienced in cloud-based accounting, looking to work flexibly from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using Xero or QuickBooks
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate financial records
- Process accounts receivable/payable and client invoices
- Prepare monthly financial reports for review
- Support the preparation of VAT returns
- Maintain organised documentation and comply with data protection laws
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ year of bookkeeping experience (practice or client-side)
- Experience with cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- AAT Level 2 or higher (preferred but not essential)
- UK-based with the right to work and access to a quiet home workspace
