Visum Recruitment are delighted to be representing our client, a manufacturer within the Fluid Power industry, who are seeking a Business Development Manager to join them on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days per week based in the Lincoln office.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and growing existing customer relationships. You will drive sales by identifying opportunities within the current customer base and exploring new markets. You will build strong relationships, promote the company’s products, and represent the business at meetings and events while supporting ongoing growth.

Job Overview
  • Generate new business opportunities in line with agreed company targets
  • Lead business development activity across the organisation, working with key stakeholders
  • Design and implement processes to align customer requirements with service offerings
  • Win new clients while maintaining and developing existing relationships
  • Build and manage a consistent and effective sales pipeline
  • Carry out market research to identify new opportunities and support marketing initiatives
  • Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to promote the business
  • Monitor sales performance and ensure activity aligns with agreed budgets
  • Maintain oversight of sales systems and produce reports as required
  • Represent the company at external meetings, events, and industry bodies
  • Ensure all internal processes, controls, and quality standards are consistently followed
Job Requirements
  • Experience with Fluid Power products such as Hydraulics and Pneumatics would be preferable
  • Sales or Customer Service experience is desirable
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Based within 30 minutes of Lincoln
