Job Overview
- Deliver safe, high-quality service, maintenance, fault-finding, installation, and commissioning on swimming pool and spa plant across commercial, leisure, hospitality, and public-sector sites.
- Provide trusted technical advice, uphold compliance with UK electrical and water-treatment standards, and contribute to project delivery and continuous improvement.
Field Service, Maintenance & Repair
- Service, maintain, and install water treatment equipment, including chemical dosing, UV, filtration, and swimming pool water treatment plant.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and control system faults on pool plant and associated equipment.
- Complete installations, upgrades, and commissioning of electrical pool equipment and control panels.
- Build and maintain honest, professional relationships with customers, providing clear recommendations and solutions.
Compliance, Safety & Documentation
- Work to BS 7671 (18th Edition) and company electrical safety procedures; apply safe isolation and verification before work.
- Follow site-specific Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) for all works.
- Apply good practice under PWTAG guidance and ACoP L8/HSG274 where activities interface with water treatment.
- Produce accurate service reports, update asset registers, and contribute to continuous improvement within ISO 9001 quality processes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Essential: Time-served engineer with demonstrable fault-finding skills across water treatment plant (mechanical, electrical, and water treatment).
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Southern UK.
- Desirable: HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- BS 7671 (18th Edition) qualification.
- Experience with chemical dosing, UV, filtration, and swimming pool water treatment plant.
- Formal pool plant training/course completion (e.g., operator-level).
- Familiarity with PWTAG guidance, ACoP L8/HSG274.
