Visum Recruitment has the pleasure of representing our client in the Power Transmission industry. They are seeking a Business Development Engineer to join them on a full-time, permanent basis covering London, Southeast & East Anglia.
This role is ideal for an ambitious individual with a strong technical background and a passion for sales, customer engagement, and market expansion.
Job Overview- Identify and develop new business opportunities, expanding market share within the power transmission sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Leverage technical expertise to advise customers on product applications, system designs, and performance improvements.
- Conduct industry research to identify trends, competitor strategies, and potential areas for innovation.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Prepare compelling proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure seamless project execution.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and product development teams to enhance offerings and optimize solutions.
- Experience in Engineering (Mechanical, Power Transmission, or related field) or Business with technical industry experience.
- Proven experience in business development and technical sales, preferably in power transmission, mechanical components, or industrial automation.
- Technical knowledge of gear systems, motors, drives, and industrial transmission technologies is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, sales forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry events, and site visits.
- Salary circa Β£40k + 1% Bonus on Sales in the stated area
- 8.30am to 4.30pm Mon-to-Fri
