We are recruiting for a Senior Site Service Engineer for a leading provider of electromechanical services for rotating equipment, specialising in the repair, maintenance and supply of pumps, motors, gearboxes, generators and power transmission components.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced

Site Service Engineer to join the Site Service Team, covering the South West region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with a strong mechanical background and electrical knowledge who enjoys working in the field, solving complex engineering challenges and delivering outstanding service to customers.

The successful candidate will be confident working independently as well as supporting junior engineers on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out on-site servicing, maintenance, repairs and installation work as directed by the Site Service Supervisor and Manager.
  • Fault find and rectify both mechanical and electrical faults on a range of rotating equipment.
  • Work independently and collaboratively, providing guidance and support to junior members of the team where required.
  • Gather and compile information to prepare mechanical and electrical quotations.
  • Complete all job documentation, including risk assessments, ensuring paperwork is accurate and submitted on the day of job completion.
  • Effectively manage and operate the SMART SITE engineer tool.
  • Maintain the highest standards of health and safety at all times.
  • Participate in the on-call rota (1 week on, 2 weeks off) and undertake overtime as required to support our 24/7 customer breakdown service (enhanced rates apply).
  • Carry out any other duties within your skills and experience as requested by the Site Service Manager.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have

  • Previous experience in a similar field service or electromechanical engineering role.
  • A strong mechanical engineering background with extensive hands-on experience.
  • Electrical knowledge, experience and/or relevant certification (essential for this senior engineering position).
  • Proven experience working with electric motors, gearboxes and pumps.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • A customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
  • A full UK driving licence (essential), as a company vehicle will be provided.
