The Sales Engineer serves as the 'technical champion' for both internal and external customers. This role works closely with the Sales team to support customers with their requirements and to resolve technical issues. The Application Engineer is responsible for selecting, quoting, troubleshooting, and promoting the organisation’s products. The primary focus of this role is to support the internal and external Sales team in customer-facing activities.

Technical Sales Engineer Job Duties
  • Assisting customers with their technical requirements
  • Preparing product quotations to assist OEMs, end users and/or distributors
  • Providing technical equipment proposals and quotes for projects and customer enquiries
  • Participating in companywide continuous improvement and quality initiatives to support the organisation's growth and meet customer needs
  • Sizing and selecting suitable products from the product range
Technical Sales Engineer Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Mechanical engineering experience and/or degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, ideally in application or internal sales Engineering
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or equipment industries
  • Experience in resolving customer issues by providing appropriate technical and product recommendations
