Visum Recruitment has the pleasure of representing a well-established, forward-thinking business in the industrial sector who are seeking a Sales Manager to join them on a full time, permanent basis. You’ll work closely with the leadership team to identify and capitalise on new market opportunities, align commercial strategies with business objectives, and support cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic development and execution of the sales team to support short, medium, and long-term goals.
- Set and monitor sales targets.
- Analyse key markets and identify high-potential opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Ensure integration of the sales and marketing function with other business areas to support cohesive growth.
- Conduct regular customer and depot visits, supporting regional sales teams and identifying development areas.
- Lead annual sales planning and provide input into broader strategic planning and capital investment decisions.
- Facilitate bi-annual sales and marketing meetings and contribute to monthly senior management discussions.
- Use of the CRM system to give clear sight of leads and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in sales within materials handling or a related industrial sector.
- Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.
- Proficient in CRM systems and data-driven decision-making.
