Project Engineer

Overview

Our client is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Project/Contracts Engineer to manage the delivery of bespoke engineering projects from sales through to after-sales support. This role is critical to improving coordination, efficiency, and client satisfaction during the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full project lifecycle: sales handover, delivery, production coordination, final handover, and after-sales.
• Coordinate with sales, production, subcontractors, and service teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including Gantt charts, layout drawings, cost matrices, and commissioning reports.
• Produce and sign off on CAD-based site layout drawings.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience managing small to medium-scale engineering projects.
• CAD skills for creating accurate site layouts.
• Familiarity with production coordination, subcontractor management, and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and competing priorities.

Preferred Experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Project (Desktop version preferred).

Salary – Up to £48,000 depending on experience plus Company Car
