We're looking for a Social Media Executive to be the delivery engine of our Social Media team. Your role is to support the Senior Account Directors and Account Directors by executing tasks required to drive client performance across social platforms and across paid and organic. You are an executor—someone who takes a strategic brief and turns it into live, high-performing paid campaigns or well-oiled organic content calendars. You will work across two key disciplines: Performance & Growth (paid campaign execution, budget management, reporting and analysis) and Content & Community (scheduling, engagement, and asset briefing). While this is a non-client-facing role focused on execution, it is designed as a clear pathway for career progression. We will provide full training to give you a holistic understanding of the wider paid and organic social mix.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Auditing & Analysis: Conduct detailed social audits, competitor benchmarking, and profile health checks as briefed by the Account Directors, Senior Account Director or Strategy Lead. Compile the raw data and initial findings for the AD to use.
- Paid Campaign Management & Optimising: Manage and continuously optimise paid social campaigns across a variety of clients and budgets.
- Content Management: Take ownership of content output. Manage creative briefs for both paid and organic clients, ensuring the creative team meets the specific specs of each platform. Schedule posts across platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn) via social management tools, ensuring all copy and tags are optimised.
- Community Management: Execute strategies by engaging with followers, responding to comments, and monitoring brand mentions across select organic clients.
- Influencer & Creator Outreach: Support Strategy Lead on influencer and creator outreach programmes by researching and compiling lists and creative briefs.
- Performance Reporting: Compile data reports for the Strategy Lead, Account Directors or Senior Account Directors. Pull native analytics from Meta Business Suite, TikTok Ads Manager, etc., to provide stats for client meetings and pitches.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Respond to quick-turnaround data requests to assess how a specific campaign or post is performing in real-time to support strategy pivots.
- Training & Progression: Actively participate in training across all pillars (Organic, Paid Social, Influencer, and Creative). Understand how the entire social machine works.
- Career Development: Work with your Line Manager to build a Personal Development Plan (PDP) focused on soft skills and strategic thinking required to become an Account Director.
- Social Competence: Understand platform algorithms (e.g., what works on TikTok vs. Instagram).
- Paid Social Exposure: Knowledge of basic principles of setting up paid campaigns and familiarity with Meta Business Manager. Comfortable managing budgets and understanding core principles of paid campaigns.
- Creative Basics: Experience with the basics of social copywriting, including writing hooks, platform-specific CTAs, and understanding brand voice.
Desirable qualifications
- Tool Proficiency: Competent user of core industry tools such as Social Management Tools, Motion, Canva, CapCut, and Google Analytics (GA4).
- Additional Channels: Knowledge of other Business Managers, such as TikTok, Reddit and Pinterest.
- Multimedia Skills: Understanding of mobile-first video production and how technical elements (lighting, audio quality) impact organic reach.
- Finisher Mindset: You enjoy hitting Publish and take pride in getting paid campaigns built and content scheduled on time and without errors.
- Attention to Detail: You spot typos in captions or incorrect thumbnails before posts go live.
- Organised: You can manage content calendars for multiple clients simultaneously without missing a posting window.
- Proactive: You flag opportunities that fit a client without waiting for a weekly meeting.
- Written Communication: Excellent written English for drafting captions and professional outreach messages to influencers.
