Your Role at Visualhouse
This is a highly visible role at the heart of the business, offering the opportunity to combine strong financial management with commercial business partnering. You'll take ownership of management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow and financial controls across our London and New York studios, while working closely with senior leaders to provide financial insights that support growth, operational efficiency and strategic decision-making. The role offers significant scope to influence processes, improve reporting and develop alongside a growing international business.
What You’ll Own
- Strategic Planning & Business Partnering
- Partnering closely with senior stakeholders to support financial planning and business objectives
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning activities
- Provide clear financial insight to support commercial decision-making, pricing, and project viability
- Monitor cash flow and working capital, helping to optimise billing processes and support sustainable growth
- Support the continuous improvement of financial controls, processes, and risk management
- Financial Management & Control
- Prepare and oversee management accounts, reporting, and month-end close for UK and US entities
- Develop, maintain, and improve financial policies, processes, and internal controls
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, expenses, and statutory reporting
- Coordinate tax compliance, audit preparation, and transfer pricing considerations
- Manage and optimise finance systems, reporting tools, and workflows, including Xero
- Commercial & Project Finance
- Review client contracts
- Partner with senior stakeholders to monitor project profitability
- Produce regular reporting on costs, margins, and overall business performance
- Finance Operations
- Oversee bookkeeping and day-to-day transactional finance activities
- Manage supplier relationships and finance-related procurement
- Maintain accurate and compliant financial records and documentation
What You’ll Bring
- Proven senior finance experience within UK entities; US entity exposure is highly desirable
- Strong background in cash flow management and commercial finance
- Experience within architecture, design, creative, marketing, or media environments preferred
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and commercially minded
- Able to anticipate financial risks and confidently manage complexity across jurisdictions
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on, entrepreneurial, creative environment
- Strong working knowledge of Xero or similar accounting platforms
- Advanced financial reporting and analysis capability
- Proficient with Google Workspace
