About the Digital Team
Our digital department is responsible for all aspects of Broadcast and VOD mastering, conforming, and delivery into top tier international platforms and broadcasters. The team prepares and manipulates the content to adhere to various specifications. These include established Home Entertainment and Broadcast requirements along with the latest specifications for platforms including Netflix and iTunes and major studios for international distributors. The department is one of our largest operational teams and has succeeded in attaining industry-recognized standards based on the quality and volume of deliveries.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team based in West London. As a Digital Technician, you will be performing operational duties working with industry-standard kit processing jobs via our internal business system. Duties will include mastering, encoding, transcoding, packaging platform metadata, manipulating files conforming to client specifications along with simple confirming and asset re-versioning. A good understanding of 4K (UHD), HDR, and IMF experience would be beneficial. This role requires to work in UK hours, 9am-6pm, Monday - Friday. The role will be hybrid.
Key responsibilities
- Conforming content and packaging metadata adhering to platform specifications – Amazon Global, iTunes, Netflix etc.
- Video Edit/prep material conforming to broadcast guidelines.
- Good knowledge and understanding in digital media workflows including tools such as Adobe Suite, DaVinci, Resolve, Clipster, Cortex.
- Adobe Premiere knowledge is a requirement for this role.
- Must have an understanding of subtitling specifications and formats, audio samples, rates, video frame rates, SMPTE timecode, and traditional multichannel audio configurations (2.0, 5.1, 7.1) is necessary.
- Video and audio pre-qualifications, media prep, QCs, and deliverables.
- Attention to detail and a perfectionist mindset is key in this role.
- Abide by security policies and protect information assets entrusted to you.

- Previous experience in an operational role.
- Understanding of video compression and the various codecs used by broadcasters and VOD platforms.

- Hands-on experience with digital media workflows is required.
